How to Play

This color memory challenge tests your ability to remember and recreate colors. Here's everything you need to know to get started.

Game Flow

1. Memorize

We show you a color for a brief moment (2-5 seconds depending on difficulty). Pay close attention to its hue, saturation, and brightness.

2. Recreate

Using the HSB (Hue, Saturation, Brightness) sliders, try to recreate the color from memory. Take your time — accuracy is key!

3. Score

After you submit, we compare your color to the original. The closer you get, the higher your score. Each round is worth up to 10 points.

Game Modes

Understanding HSB

HSB stands for Hue, Saturation, and Brightness — the three components we use to define colors:

Hue

The actual color — red, blue, green, yellow, etc. Think of it as the position on a rainbow.

Saturation

The intensity of the color. 100% is vivid and pure, 0% is completely gray.

Brightness

How light or dark the color is. 100% is fully bright, 0% is completely black.

Tips for Better Scores

  • Focus on one attribute at a time — first get the hue right, then saturation, then brightness
  • Bright, saturated colors are usually easier to remember than subtle grays
  • Take a mental snapshot of the color as a whole, not just its parts
  • Practice in Solo mode to improve before challenging friends
